This is a great piccolo for marching band- that's where it was with me for five years. Also worked well in concert band. It's got a solid silver head, with silver plated body and keys, and it's got a conical bore. It plays beautifully, good tone and great projection. It's not hard to keep it in tune, which is nice with a metal piccolo. The pads are somewhat worn, and one of the trill keys is missing a pad entirely. Other than that, great instrument. opened ended, with a velvet Reynolds hard case. The flute is clean but has a small dent on the head piece. There is some tarnish between the keys. It could use a detailed cleaning. The pads seem like they are in good condition. The hard case is in good shape. Email me with any questions. I prefer Money Order.

This H.N. White-King piccolo is a rare find. It is a Db piccolo (being a half step higher than the normal C piccolo used today). It is especially useful for the piccolo solo in Sousa's The Stars and Stripes Forever March, because the solo fingers in D instead of Eb. This piccolo is in great condition considering it's age. It's probably around 60+ years old. It's probably fully handmade, (the headjoint and mechanism closely resemble that of a Haynes Db piccolo), and it has AT LEAST a sterling silver headjoint (marked), but I have a suspicion that it is all sterling silver. It has several scratches on the bottom of the body, but the headjoint and keys are almost like new. If the instrument is sterling silver, the scratches could easily be taken care of. The instrument DOES need a full repad and adjustment, but after that you will have an absolutely wonderful, RARE Db piccolo. They're a good thing for the serious piccolist to own, for when Db picc parts show up in early marches and such. Asking a modest $250/offer.
