August Richard Hammig Flute <furmgame@aol.com> - Southport, United Kingdom - Tuesday, August 06, 2002 This is an August Richard Hammig flute made in 1959. It has a silver head, body and C foot. It has plateau keys. One or two of the keys could now benefit from a little swedging. I have owned this flute for many many years and now fancy a change. It was made in Markneukirchen. Philip Hammig is renowned for his piccolos but August Richard has the reputation for flutes. Very few of these are to be found on the market. It has a high G/A trill. Some people refer to it as a C# trill. It also has triple rollers on the C - C# - and D keys on the foot joint. The case is a little tired to be expected after 44 years. Late 18th century 1-keyed flute <klezical@aol.com> - Fairfield, CT USA - Saturday, August 03, 2002 This is a valuable boxwood flute made by MILHOUSE (Oxford Street), stamped on each of 4 joints. It is not, however, of a normal length for a 1-keyed flute but shorter, perhaps Eb. I was told by the curator at the Yale instrument collection that it was a "band" flute. (I purchased it in a Christies auction about 20 years ago and was told it was made in 1790.) Asking $375 or BO. Picture available upon request. Artley 5OB Flute w/ 2 headjoints/case/access. <bertiebottseveryflavorbeans@hotmail.com> - Eugene, OR USA - Saturday, August 03, 2002 I'm selling an Artley 5OB flute, with a double case, 2 headjoints and accessories. The body is silver plated, with a B foot, and inline G; both of the heads are solid silver, the Armstrong is the "Progressive" cut and has a 4 stamped on it. I purchased this flute used about 6 or 7 years ago for $640.00; until now, it has been my only flute. Therefore, it has been extremely well cared for. I polish it and clean the inside after each time it's played. The only thing it may need is a good adjustment. Otherwise it's in wonderful shape. I would like to sell it for $675, but will negotiate if needed. Please email for photos.
