This is an early Vintage French, Open Hole, low b, gizmo flute. Solid Silver. I purchased this flute in the late 70's while a student of Murray Panitz, solo flutiest of the Philadelphia Orchestra under Eugene Ormandy. I bought the flute new, but Murray played it in the orchestra for a week for so to make sure it was OK. What a great insturment this is with some history behind it. Serial number 16455. In fantastic condition. Bright sound but very mellow in lower register. I play pro and will miss this flute. Asking, 4,500.00. Would like to sell ASAP.

I am looking for older (turn of the century) flutes and piccolos. I do not want the simple system keys, but the more contemporary system. I would like to know the maker of the instrument, year made (and country if possible), describe condition of the instrument, are there photos? NOTE: THESE INSTRUMENTS DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN TIP TOP SHAPE. In fact, I hope to restore as many of them as possible. Thank you for your time.
