Powell 75th anniversary flute #17 of 25 made. Serial # 11731. Open hole, B foot, C# trill, 18 weight tube and 16 weight head with Philharmonic cut. The 75th anniversary models feature the barrel joint and box joint ring styles from the first Powell flutes as well as rubies inset in the crown and the barrel. The 75th anniversary crest is engraved on the barrel. After trying the instrument on a handful of gigs, have decided to remain on current flute. This is an Armstrong Elkhart model piccolo in the key of C, all metal (I presume nickel or silver plated as all elkharts were supposed to be), with serial number "L1219" It has just been repadded, and is in perfect working condition, with only a tiny indent at the top.
