Purchased September 30th, 2004. The purchase price was $2085 plus tax. It is the Jupiter 1221SE, with straight and curved solid silver headjoints, french pointed arms, and a French-style case. I am looking to sell it for $1700 There is nothing wrong with it whatsoever. The two reasons I am going to sell/return are 1) It is in the key of G, not C as I had been led to believe. 2) I have not played it at all. That's just WRONG. Built around 1942 by Henry Selmer, designer of the Selmer Mark VI Saxophone, this flute was designed to compete directly with the Haynes Flute. The high register has excellent clarity, and rounded brightness. The thick walled silver construction give this flute excellent, free blowing, tonal strength. The pads are clean from a recent, professional overhaul. The action is responsive like a Vintage Selmer Sax.
