Yamaha Professional Handmade Flute, YFL81. MINT Condition. I always had a repairman to take a good care of this flute and overhauled last year (I paid $800). This flute was carefully selected by a professional orchestra flutist. YFL81 is the top of the line on Yamaha Flute,today sells as YFL-881. I have tried both of them and I do prefer 81 much better. I think older version model was just made better with craftmanship. It's C foot, Jean-Pierre Rampal preferes C foot. I have a master's degree in music from school in NYC, but I'm not playing anymore. This Gemeinhardt KGB Special flute was purchased new in 2000, and I am in the process of purchasing a new Powell, so I need to sell this flute asap! Flute has a solid silver headjoint, body and foot, in-line G, B foot, "gizmo key" [for easy response on high-C (c4)], white gold springs. Headjoint is style S1 w/ gold lip riser & gold plating inside the headjoint and is marked "custom". Flute was used by an adult & very well cared for; meticulously cleaned after each use and has no dings or dents. Includes a hard case w/ blue velvet lining, plus a leather outer carrying case.
