Looking for a Prima-Sankyo Silversonic or a Yamaha (old 500 or new 600 series) flute. Has to be in good playing condition (no major repairs needed). In-line or off-set G and a B foot joint. Solid silver, c foot, open-hole (french model), in-line g, from the 70's, when Deford made some of their best flutes. This flute is a wonderful step-up flute with a beautiful, sweet tone. DeFord nickel silver student flute, closed hole, c foot, offset g (great for smaller hands). This was my starting flute, and my daughters have now chosen other instruments. It is in very good condition, with minor use scratches, and one tiny dent. All pads are in great shape except the thumb key, which has a tiny hole (which doesn't affect the playability, and isn't an immediate problem). Asking $90, including shipping via UPS. A six-month old Powell Sonare flute, all sterling silver, B foot, offset G, open hole, .014 tubing. The body is made in Taiwan to Powell specs and the headjoint is a Signature, handmade by Powell in Boston. The pitch is A=442 and the scale is wonderful, with the high notes much better in tune than in the Haynes Deveau scale. I also find that this particular flute has amazing response and fluidity. The mechanism is excellent. List price is in the neighborhood of $1600-1800 with its original Signature headjoint. $1200.

The flute is in excellent condition, has very few scratches or dents, and was completely overhauled 2 years ago with all new pads. I bought this flute new in 1998. Included is a French case, wooden Sankyo cleaning rod, and Sankyo case cover. Asking $3200.
