Professional flutist selling this gorgeous, free-blwoing headjoint. It features a beautiful, sweet, focused core sound. The projection is amazing and the low register is very dark and warm. The headjoint also features a 14K Gold Tiger Eye crown, also purchased last year, which adds even more depth to the sound (and looks very groovy!). There is one small mark on the lip-plate, which was there when I purchased it, but does not affect the sound. Purchase price last year: $4200 headjoint, $400 crown ($4,600 total). I play recorder and have never played flute. I thought I might be interested in baroque flute, so, in August of 2005, I purchased a well-thought-of inexpensive starter, the aulos black matte (A = 440). Having attempted to play the darn thing for several days, I now realize baroque flute is just not for me. I'll stick to recorder. Perhaps if I had prior experience on a modern flute, it wouldn't be so daunting to me. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with the flute itself. I will send it to a buyer in its original box and in its original condition -- just like new. $250 or best offer.
