Yamaha 561 .925 silver flute with heavy walls for darker sound. Offset G, low B, EC head, high C facilitator, pointed key arms. This is a great flute - I used it all the way through my BMus degree, including my flute studies in Vienna, Austria. My professor told me that the connections between notes sound very "liquid" on this flute. The low register is particularly nice and pops right out. This is a Powell Sonare 6000F model flute. I recieved this instrument for my birthday, but I had already bought another Powell 2 weeks earlier, so I have decided to sell this one. It is a wonderful instrument. It has a sterling silver head, body and footjoint. Open holes, in-line G, and B-foot with gizmo. It has 10K white gold springs and is handmade. Serial #418518 solid silver King flute, closed hole, C foot in perfect playing condition. Recently prefessionally overhauled with new pads, new corks, polishing, etc. Purchased in the 1960's, has had one owner, and been lovingly cared for over the years. No dents or dings. Clear, pleasing tone. Appraised at $800 - similar quality flute, new, would cost at least $600. Will sell for $400. This flute looks and plays like a new instrument.
