Miyazawa Flute, #30139, hand-made, solid silver, open hole, low B foot with gizmo. Head joint by Altus, solid sterling, hand-matched to the flute by original owner. Drawn toneholes, Modern style key cups. Very good condition, some light surface scratches, consistent with its age. The pads seat well and are traditional pads. The tone is clear and rich; the intonation impeccable. According to the Miyazawa company, the flute "was manufactured in late 1987. The model name is MG-A RH. I bought it in 1998 for a little over $600. It was only used for two years and since then it has sat in the case on my bedroom shelf. It is a silver plated, open holed flute with a few minor scratches and no dents. Pads are still in good shape but probably will have to be replaced in the near furture.
