I am currently a student at the Eastman School of Music majoring in flute performance. I am selling my Yamaha 385II Intermediate flute. This flute has a sterling silver headjoint, silver plated body, inline G, & B foot. It has some scratches but they do not affect the sound at all. This flute was played regularly for 4 years so the pads are worn, but I don't find that it interferes with the sound quality. The instrument has a gorgeous tone that is even throughout all the registers (a powerful low register!). I am very happy with the quality of this flute's sound and finger response. Asking $300. I'm looking to trade this wooden (with metal headjoint) Amati flute for an intermediate flute. The specs of the flute are as follows: grenadilla body and footjoint, nickelplated (over brass) keys and headjoint, closed hole keys with Y-arms, low B, D# and C# rollers, Bb and B trill keys, offset G, and ebonite/hard rubber lip plate. The flute plays fine as-is (I'll be adjusting the D# pad prior to trading) and comes with an un-original case. Looking to trade for open hole, offset G, pref. french pointed keys, low B (pref.), flute. Open to many manufacturers right now (minus Gemeinhardt) and will sell to best offer, too.

There is a slight ding by the lip-plate, a few scratches on the body, but other than that, the flute is in excellent condition. The pads are also in excellent condition. I am asking $150. In March I put two nice Piccolos on my credit card (from a big store in Indiana), planning to try both, and send the one I liked least back before the trial offer expired. But, in the (last minute) rush to get my taxes in, I forgot all about the other picc. until I got my credit card bill this week. So my stupidity is your gain.
