I've had this flute since I was in the 5th grade and haven't touched it since. It's in great condition I'm just trying to get some money for a new mattress. I paid more than 600 dollars for it and used it for only 5 months. It has a hard black case with blue velvet lining and it also has a cleaning rod. The head, body, plateau and closed-hole keys are all silver-plated. There are virtually no dings on it, Gemeinhardt makes a high-quality item(made in Elkhart, IN). It's very shiny but polish never hurts. Everything is in perfect working order(including the case). It's a "pick up and play" piece. I can upload pics if you email me.
