A fine, 10-year-old example of Rod Cameron's craftsmanship with two corps de rechange at A = 415 and 430 and both D and C feet appropriate for the late Baroque, Classical, or early Romanitic periods, or traditional music with an additional center for A = 440 available from the maker. Stained boxwood with minimal fading at the embouchure, artificial ivory mounts, and silver keywork, with screw cap and tuning slide. A fully restored antique late 19th or early 20th century "tierce" stamped "CH[arles] ROTH Strasbourg" playing at high French concert pitch in dark palisander with 5 post-mounted German (nickel) silver keys and typical professional touches: half-lined head, lined tuning barrel, and capped and lined center tenon fitting. Said to have belonged to a flutist of the l'Opera du Rhin. A sweet-sounding little flute. The instrument was, and is, crack-free. Asking $800 (shipping included, USA only).
