Powell Flute for Sale. Sterling silver, soldered tone holes, .018 tubing, Traditional Powell Scale, A-440, French cups, B foot with gizmo, in-line G, D# roller, 18K gold lipplate and riser. Made in 1977. Instrument recently overhauled and has just had a COA. It is in perfect condition. Asking $8500. Currently owned by professional symphonic flutist. I am selling a headjoint made of zitan wood. Zitan is the most expensive hardwood in the world, so rare that it was exclusively reserved to make exquisite furniture for royalty and the very wealthy in Imperial China. The wood was long considered extinct until rediscovered in the forests of Vietnam. It is so dense that the logs actually sink in water! Dark red to deep brown in color, this wood I believe fuses beauty with excellent sound and playability. Silverplated tenon. Hard case included. $450 plus shipping. Pictures upon request.

Beautiful open-hole flute made of silver alloy then silver plated (I think), does not have inline g keys but does have B footjoint (with I think C# or d# rollers). It was purchased between 1993-1994 from Miyazawa directly but only played for about 4 years and played by only one owner. In good condition though may need new pads. Never played outside.
