Since Mr. Lafin has ever made only a few 18K white gold headjoint, this one is really hard to find on market. I bought this headjoint directly from Mr. Lafin 3 years ago, and could provide an original receipt to a buyer. The joint has been fitted to 14K gold Powell (0.012 wall) professionally. Flute is engraved "Moennig Brothers" with serial number on body and footjoints. This flute is offset G, closed hole, c-foot and has the C# trill key [extra tone hole by the B thumb keys] In great condition. Will need a few pads and a polish, otherwise no damage. Comes with original case. This flute was hand constructed in the same fashion as famous Hammig silver flutes [i have a Hammig and they look the same. maybe they were made in the same place, i don't know much about german flute history]. Purchased in 1996 from Orpheus in San Antonio, TX: SN 96095. Handmade. Sterling tubing throughout and plated keys. PH-7 headjoint. Open-hole, inline G, B-foot, pointed arms and Pearl pinless construction. Case and Cover included. The mechanics on this flute are excellent and rarely needs adjusting. Intonation and response are exceptional. Silver plating is pitting on several of the keys. Please look at the pics carefully. The missing plating does not affect the play of the instrument.
